Did you know the hotel Cour des Loges: a very nice and historical place in the heart of the Vieux Lyon where you feel like being in clover:That’s where I have just been: a real break from the daily routine. Thanks to my man who kidnapped me away: it was great, really!!! As you know, I like to share my favourite places with you on my blog, and Cour des Loges is definitely one of them!
The Cour des Loges restaurant:
Chef Anthony Bonnet has 1 star in the Michelin guidebook. His cooking is simple and good, and a little bit exotic; setting is just splendid; a good point for the sommelier who we appreciated much (so as the wines we tested!!!); breakfast is VERY nice: I had a real meal! As you know I’m a big fan of brunches, and so I deeply regret chef Nicolas le Bec’s departure to Asia and so the end of his nice brunches: I think I will soon test Cour des Loges’s brunch about which I heard a lot of good.
Cour des Loges Decoration:
As I said, setting is just perfect and wonderful. Colors are those of the ochres you find in the Vieux Lyon area and which remind of Italy: it’s an historical place, decoration is not ostentatious at all. In our room we had a view on Fourviere basilica : Lyon’s symbol dominating the whole city on the hill.
Cour des Loges Spa:
Don’t expect a huge place, I think they had to do with building’s constraints. They use Pure Altitude products so as the Fermes de Marie in Megève. I tested a face care: Bulle d’Oxygène: my sensitive and dry skin which suffered from cold needed it a lot! I particularly appreciated the soin éclat précieux à la tourmaline which makes a glowy face and shiny lips: I love it! The beauty specialist was very good and caring.
To conclude, I’ll just say: let’s do it again: I’m pretty sure you can’t get tired of doing it!!! ; ))
