Here I am last sunday with my Repetto, famous made in France ballerinas, Cendrillon model. I was visiting one of the most important flea markets in France.

Repetto is one of the emblems of French Fashion. Just for your information: their shoes are a not all made in France. The brand was created in 1947 by Rose Repetto who tried to design the perfect shoe for a son Roland Petit who was a dancer. From 1956 the brand becomes successful when Brigitte Bardot orders her ballerinas for her nos famous film: “And God created woman”: Cendrillon model was born. At that time, everything that wore Brigitte Bardot became a hit!

After a difficult period, the brand renewed itself thanks to Jean-Marc Gaucher who bought it in 1999. He decided to maintain the manufacture in St Médard d’Excideuil in Dordogne. Nowadays Repetto is famous all around the world, especially thanks to people like Kate Moss.

It’s the second pair of this model that I bought, and I like them when they are used.

Last winter Repetto launched its ready-to-wear collection designed with Emilie Luc-Duc.

By the way: do you know Leyment? Located close to Lyon: the flea market takes place every year on last sunday of august: the second biggest flea market in France happens in this small village: 100 000 visitors within a day! I am a huge fan and I never miss one!
