In the region of Lyon, we must admit that we have a lot of elitist restaurants. We should not forget that Lyon is the capital of French gastronomy. Jacques and Regis Marcon restaurant isn’t one of the most known…and yet! I’ve been to three 3 stars restaurants in the area, and it’s my favourite: because it summarizes everything I expect if we disregard food: simplicity, exceptional setting and friendliness.
Jacques et Régis Marcon:
3 stars in the Michelin guide, famous restaurant for being passionate about mushrooms. Surprise at the arrival: decoration is luxurious but not flashy at all, you feel well there, it’s not stuffy at all, but people in uniform are ready tu fullfill your every desire. We have had the chance to visit the kitchen watching Jacques Marcon at the controls.

Where is this? In Auvergne, on the border between Ardèche and Haute-Loire. As you can imagine, this village desserves its name: cold and snow are kings! What do we do there? Nice rides, but first of all: you can experience on of the 20 best French restaurants: Jacques and Regis Marcon restaurant.
As you now understands, I was conquered and that delicious moment will remain in my memory for a long time.
